ANNE TRUONG

Anne has worked in specialist lighting design for more than 5 years and has over 14 years’ experience within the Australian building engineering industry in a wide range of industries, including residential (low, medium and high density). She is the current design manager for Melbourne lighting supplier, Light Project, where she assists Clients (such as Architects, Electrical Engineers, Interior Designers etc.) with luminaire selection, lighting calculations, concept designs and design strategies to suit budget and project timelines.

Anne has a pragmatic approach to lighting design, balancing the positive psychological effects of the lighting scheme with practical installation methods, project delivery and budget. Her design philosophy is that lighting should be experienced, not seen, and strives to incorporate this into all of her projects.
She is currently the Chapter President of the IES for Victoria (Australia) and Tasmania (Australia), and on occasion teaches university level architectural students lighting design concepts and design theory.
